Armisted Maupin New Book

WOW! What a trip..Armistead has put me in his new book. I feel so damn honored to be recognized by someone so famous and amazing as he is. People keep emailing and calling to tell me about this. One of my fans emailed me yesterday..
“i hope You are familiar with Armisted Maupin and his series of books about gay life in San Francisco, “Tales of the City.” He has just issued a new novel called “Michael Tolliver Lives,” in which he tells the stories of the people in “Tales” grown older. His main character Michael has a landscaping business and his assistant is Jake who is a transman. In talking about transman issues, the characters talk about YOU! Buck Angel gets several paragraphs of very positive mention! Congratulations! This should introduce Your name to a wide audience that You probably haven’t reached before. Maupin has a large readership even among straights.
Maybe You know this already but i was so happy to see You getting more and more recognition.”

So when I was in SF I was walking in the Castro and heard someone call out”Hey Buck” so I looked did not recognize the person calling me. He introduced himself and said he was Armisteads husband Chris. I was so shocked and surprized. We had a great talk and then Armistead called on the phone so I got to talk with him to thank him! He was so sweet to me.

So now I am in London and so is Armistead and Chris. He is doing a book signing. I hope to meet up with them this week for dinner. They will also be in Amsterdam as well.

My life is so amazing. It just keeps getting better and better. On wed, I am on a very big morning tv show here in London called This Morning with Fern Britton. It is going to be great!

I have a meet and great this week as well for PR and people in the industry to meet me. I also talked to some people about tv shows here and doing more mainstream. I think things are going to roll.

LONDON TV SHOW FEEDBACK

So today I was on The Morning Show here in London and it was great! They were so sweet to me and really very supportive of what I am doing. I never felt judged once. It is a really amazing how openminded people in the UK are. It is so refreshing. I have been getting tons of feedback just today. i thought I would post some for you all to see..

I just wanted to say well done, i hope your stay in Britain is going ok. I wish i’d known you were in the country because i would’ve liked to see you perform.
