Taschen-The Big Book of Pussy

Taschen is one of the biggest art book sellers in the world! They have the most amazing books. So when Dian Hanson asked me to be apart of the new book “The Big Book of Pussy” how could I say no.

Dian is such a wonderful woman. She is super sweet and really knows her shit. She has been editing and working in the world of adult books and magazines for 25 years. She asked me if I would do photos in drag! I was totally down for it. I don’t know why but I felt totally ok with her dressing me up like a girl. She wanted to recreate my “model” days. But I told her I was not going to shave my face it took me way to long to grow this thing.

So being the smart woman she is she just used ways to hide my face a bit. The photographer Ed Fox who did the photos is amazing. He really captured it.

When I was in London 2 weeks ago I saw the book in a book store. That  was the first time I had seen the photos. So I snapped one with my iphone. I was pretty shocked, but in a good way. my Vagina looks so big! I really think this book is awesome. If you decide to get it you will not be disappointed.

When I was in NYC in Nov. for my performance at the BOX and the Fleshbot awards, My friend Ellen Stagg and Fleshbot set up a photo shoot with the amazing Stoya. We had been talking about it for a while via Twitter but I was not really sure if it would ever happen. One because she is a super huge mainstream porn star and two because girls are scared of me:) But it happened!! Stoya is so fucking cool.

This is what we did and I think it fucking rocks! You can see all the rest of the photos on Fleshbot

Transgender Day Of Remembrance 2011: 20 Trans Pioneers

This is pretty cool. Huffington Post put together a list of 20 trans people they feel are pioneers. I was pretty shocked when i made the list, because I have always been left out of so many of these more mainstream lists because of my adult work. I don’t need to tell you why do I ? So when I saw this I was really surprised to say the least. It made me feel so proud that I have finally been recognized for my work. I know it’s only the Huffington Post but if you know how hard I have been fighting to get some acceptance past the adult world I think you would get it.

So here is the list with all super great people. I know they left some people off who I think should have been on but I am sure putting a list together of only 20 is not easy.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

Today we remember all the trans people who have lost their lives from hate, intolerance and prejudice. Because I believe people need education on this, they don’t understand how we can feel this way. Many people think it is unnatural and that we are playing “GOD”. If they really took the time to understand that this is not something we wished upon ourselves or that it is something that we control. It is what it is. If you can look at someone like me who was so hateful towards myself and others before I decided to go through transition, then maybe you can see how this is a positive thing not a negative thing.

If you know anyone who needs to be educated on this subject please take the time to do it.
