Back from performing at Wasteland in Amsterdam, Got beat up by security, my plane was delayed because of the volcano eruption but all in all I had a fabulous time. Made many new friends and rocked the house. So enjoy all the photos from the show..

Last year I had the pleasure of going to Minn. to the shop Smitten Kitten. Everyone there was so amazing and really took great care of me. I don’t post enough about them and how wonderful the shop is.

Today I ran across a cool blog post about my work and also my trip to Yale on the Smitten Kitten blog. When you read it you will see what I am saying about them. Happy New Year!!

Wow I can’t believe it’s 2010. What a total trip. I have a great feeling about this year. Already so much happening for me it’s crazy. I am booked all the way to May.

So this year I have been nominated for both the AVN awards and the XBIZ awards. Both have nominated my film ULTIMATE FUCKING CLUB for Best Transsexual Release and I have been nominated for Transsexual Performer of the Year. See this year is already kicking ass.

Also I am working on a new series that is going to blow everyone away. I am super excited about it. I am not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet but soon as I will be sending out a casting call.

Smitten Kitten in Minn. invited me to celebrate with them for their 6th bday! They were the very first store in the USA to have the balls to carry my very first DVD. After that we formed a great relationship. They started around the same time that i did and we have seen each other grow leaps and bounds.

My trip started with an early flight from Mexico to be picked up by Clare at the airport. That is always cool when you don’t have to take a cab. Then off to eat and check into my hotel. I rested for about an hour then she picked me up for my first night at the Kitten. I did a talk about my life in the porn business, How I started and some of my background. Then I opened it up to a Q & A. I had a packed house which is always nice. They really support my work there and you can feel it by the great energy people gave off. These are pics from that first night at the shop.

The next night I did a DVD signing for my new release ULTIMATE FUCKING CLUB it was the world premiere of the film and we showed it while everyone just mingled. I signed lots of DVDs and posters.

Now I am on day three and non stop between going to the gym with Clare everyday. She was so nice to pick me up and take me. I freak out if I miss the gym..So now it’s saturday night and I have to do my BDSM performance. I had two really great guys show up to perform with me and we practiced only the day of but we all had great energy together it worked out.

Ok I know that not everyone in the world loves what I do. I would be an idiot to think otherwise. But when and article is written about the trans community and how there is this absence of trans men in porn and the article features only a photo of me( which they never asked to use) and also blurbs from everyone but me I find this a bit strange.

So I made a comment on the site about why I felt there was an absence of trans men in porn.
Well then I get these comments about me that are quite funny and a bit on the fucked up side. You know it is always on these boards that these people write shit about me, they never have the balls to either email me or confront me in person and that really pisses me off. But I guess when your a pioneer you are always going to have people jealous of your achievements. And this is what it looks like to me. Here are the comments..
Also, Buck’s classist “bootstraps!!!” attitude toward the trans male community has reached epically comical proportions. Dude is a self-parody.
Hear hear! I admit, being a Trans man myself, I was interested in Buck Angel when I first heard of him, but what I’ve seen from him –both in jpeg and in attitude– is something I’d rather not associate with. You’re right, his “bootstraps!!!” attitude is totally classist (easy to say that when you’re already sitting on a modest fortune), and in all honesty, I’m just not into his whole Bear-aesthetic, either. He’s a parody of what a hint of extra testosterone “will do to ya’”. I can’t take him seriously, not even as an adult entertainer.

Now what makes people think I am sitting on a modest fortune? And if I am then it is all from my own hard work, Why is this a bad thing? You see why I get such a bad taste in my mouth from the “ftm Community” Jesus people I do more for your community than you can even imagine and not because I want anything but because I feel like doing community service is part of being a good pioneer. Fuck maybe I will just start donating my time and money to some other org.

Buck Angel Attitude!

When I was in LA I got contacted by SIRIUS radio to go do a show with Jason Ellis. He really wanted me on his show but I honestly had no idea who he was but as you know I am kind of a media whore and as far as I can see all my crazy self promotion has payed off. I have to do this in order for people to see who I am who might have no idea about me.

So when I got to the studio in West Hollywood which was a far drive from where I was in Long Beach at the Outer Limits Tattoo Studio where Elayne Angel was guest piercing and selling here new book the Piercing Bible. I was ready to go! Funny I remember Jason just looking all crazy at me at first not really knowing how to deal with me..I love that. He was cool but you could see he was so confused. I think he thought I was going to have some kind of”girl” in me.

I sat down and we rapped a bit before the show started then the show starts and he introduces me and we talk about my change and he is just looking me over trying to figure out some part of my body or face or something that female but he can’t. Of course he does comment on my voice and says it sounds gay, Which everyone does. But other than that he is very impressed by my body. And believe me that is a huge compliment..Because he is a man’s man believe me!!

He ends up taking calls from some fans and everyone asks the usual questions but then some shmoe calls in telling him off for having me on the show and that I am a fag and so on and anyway Jason is so cool he just tells the guy to get a grip and disconnects him. Then the producer on the break tell me tons of guys emailed in to defend me. WOW I am telling you that this is so cool and I really think that by putting myself out there these guys get to see that I am just a normal guy like them. Awesome.

Lately I have been getting many more people from Israel interested in me and my work. It is really cool to see a country in the Middle East have an interest in my work because to be honest I really thought because of it being so religous there is no way they would even allow me to be seen there. But I guess I was wrong. I have been in contact with some people there who would like to have me come and speak and maybe even perform. A short biography of Buck
Buck Angel was born with female anatomy, and lived for many years as a woman. In numerous interviews as well as on his official website, he stated that even before he was aware that the possibility existed for a sex-change operation, he felt uncomfortable with his body and gender.
This discomfort increased beyond depression, and found expression in destructive behaviors of alcohol and drug addiction. During the time Buck lived as a woman, he worked as a model, with contracts with two of the largest, best known agencies – Elite Model Management and Z Agency, London. Nevertheless, Buck was unhappy.
The change in Angel’s life came about after he saw a movie about a transsexual man, which was a kind of revelation for Buck. After this, his path to change was clear. He could see that this was the path he had been on his entire life, from childhood and adolescence as a tomboy to an androgynous woman and, finally, as a man. Buck began hormone treatment, and underwent an operation two years later to shape a masculine chest. At the same time, Buck began a painstaking physical training regimen which he currently maintains, to create the body of the man he had always dreamed of being.

A refreshing change in the porn industry
After his change, Buck began to act in porn films, mainly in the fetish genre. But when he realized that there were hardly any porn films featuring transsexual men in the industry in general and on the web in particular, he was determined to bring about a change. This decision led him to build his website in 2003, www.Transexual-Man.com – and: the rest is history. The website was a huge success, and Buck began to see his dream come true: the creation of hot porn which was not an underground movement or a freak show.

Buck is now famous throughout the world, and is considered a star of the industry. He appeared in the “Adventures of Allanah’ Starr’s Big Boob” together with Allanah Starr and Wendy Williams, two transsexual women, in a scene which was the first of its kind in the industry. There had never before been a scene on film featuring a transsexual man with a transsexual woman. Buck was signed by leading companies in the field, and in 2007, was the first transsexual man to be named “Transsexual Performer of the Year” at the AVN awards, the porn industry’s “Oscars,” which until then had been awarded only to transsexual women.

Buck was nominated for the same prize in 2008 and again in 2009. In 2009 he was nominated for the Most Outrageous Scene at the AVN prize ceremony for a scene in which he performs with another transsexual man. Buck continues to lead the revolution in the porn industry and advance the status of transsexual men in the world of porn.

Why Buck Angel? As someone who has never been a porn consumer, whose lack of comfort with one’s own body and sexuality stand out so much in my daily life, my chances of being exposed to porn or to Buck Angel were slim indeed. I can’t clearly remember the first time I heard his name, but the moment he came into my life, he became a symbol and a banner for gender freedom and the way to shape my body and gender any way I choose. Buck calls himself “The Man with a Pussy,” a definition with tremendous freedom, freedom which I have not dared to take in my present life. In the “rainbow community,” the necessity of choosing between “blue” and “pink” remains a permanent trouble for me.

To state the obvious, not every transgender or transsexual man has female anatomy, or chooses the identity that Buck took for himself. To go even further, for at least part of the trans community, this declaration can be taken as disrespectful or arouse dysphoria. But that’s not the situation for me. The combination of Buck’s looks in photos and films along with the interviews in which I heard him speak, give me both tremendous strength and hope, as well.

Buck’s revolutionary identity makes it possible for me to believe that one day, I, too, will be able to create a new identity that suits me, that I will be able to come out of the closet with my masculinity and my femininity and feel comfortable, that I have the possibility of building up a masculine body with all the means at my disposal while still maintaining my self-definition as a femme. That the masculine shirt and binder during the day will easily change into the pink body suit, black stockings, sequined hair elastic and point shoes during my ballet lessons.

Knowing Buck
I have known/been acquainted with “Buck Angel – Porn Star” for a long time. The moment I heard about him, my interest grew, and he became one more source of inspiration in my life. But this is not my only acquaintance with him. Buck’s personality projects so much light and happiness that it gives the feeling that I know him from up close, and not only as the porn star he is. He maintains an official fan site and a frequently-updated personal blog, which allows readers to get to know him better and become acquainted with his daily life. He has been interviewed dozens of times, with no subject a taboo.

To define Buck Angel as merely a porn star, in the best case is imprecise, and in the worst case, denigrates the value of his work, because, for his entire life, Buck Angel has been a groundbreaker in pop culture and in the history of transgenders. He has changed the gender perception of so many people as a transgender star in the porn industry.

A couple years ago Bizarre magazine sent me to London to do 2 commercials for them. They were take offs on two very popular tv ads. It was so much fun and I think they came out really cool. Here they are and I hope you think they are as funny as I do!
