Trans LGBTQ Activist Found Murdered in Mexico

Today I was sent this horrible news. I live in Mexico and have found it to be pretty tolerant of the LGBTQ community. It might just be the part of mexico that I live in but to be honest I do feel safer there than I had in the USA. So when this news came to me I was stunned. Don’t get me wrong I know this happens everywhere but for some reason I just never felt like this would happen to someone so out. I guess I am a bit naive sometime.
