Introducing the First Sex Toy for Trans Men
It's about time.
Adult film star and producer, activist, speaker, and trans man Buck Angel has just added another notch to his belt: sex toy designer — specifically, designer of the first sex toy for trans men, the Buck-off. Angel partnered with sex toy company Perfect Fit Brand to develop the product, which is a stroker tailored to the bodies of trans men who are on hormone replacement therapy (HRT). "Talking with other trans men, as well as [taking into account] my own sexual needs, I knew this was an important product," Angel explained to the Huffington Post. "It is super validating when you walk into a shop and see a product made for you. It gives you a feeling of being recognized. I also think it says ‘masturbation and sexual needs are normal for everyone.’”
Because the sex toy market caters almost exclusively to cisgender consumers, trans men have had to adapt products to their bodies themselves. "One of the things I used to do was use nipple suction devices or a cisgender masturbator and cut it up to make it fit my anatomy," Angel said. The Buck-off works like a typical stroker for a person with a penis, but its smaller size and its suction are ideal for trans men who are on testosterone and who have larger clitorises and genitals in general.
